Trump’s 2005 Tax Returns

Trump’s 2005 Tax Returns

Last night MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow attempted to take down Trump by releasing his 2005 tax returns, something she thought was sure to cause the president harm. Maddow, who has been critical of Donald Trump since he began running for president and who thought he would never be president, thought the illegally obtained tax return would be bad news for Trump. Once again, as they have been wrong hundreds of times throughout the election, the media failed to recognize just how silly they make themselves look. Trump’s 2005 tax return showed that he made over $150 million dollars and paid over $38 million in taxes. This defeats two narratives that have been driven by the Democrats, one is that Trump is not as rich as he says he is, and that he doesn’t pay federal income tax. For some reason, Maddow and MSNBC thought they were going to hurt Trump and his chances of winning in 2020, but once again they have garnered him more support by proving that he is as rich as he says he is and he does pay his fair share in taxes. Maddow clearly didn’t realize how bad this was going to turn out for her and the Democrats, given that many of them pay less in taxes than Donald Trump. Bernie Sanders for example, has said people like Trump need to pay their fair share in income taxes, while Bernie only paid 13.5% of his income to the government in 2014, Trump paid almost 25% of his income to taxes in 2005. Barack Obama only paid 20% of his income to taxes last year, Joe Biden only paid 23.3%, while Paul Ryan pays 20% of his income to taxes. Additionally, MSNBC only paid 24% of their income to taxes last year, meaning Trump actually paid more in federal income taxes than the company coming out to announce his tax returns. What this means for Trump is once again he looks like a genius and he makes the media look like fools. They have once again attempted to take him down and it will only backfire in their face, just like much of what they did during the election.

Introduction

Many things we read in the news tend to be biased against Trump and people who vote Republican. Most of the major news networks we hear about in modern times all have their left wing agendas in an attempt to mislead the american public in order to push their false narratives. This blogging site is to give readers and in particular, americans, somewhere they can come to get reliable information that is not their standard left wing news outlet. Readers can expect reliable information that explains current events as well as explaining how the media and certain actions by Democrats are continuing to garner more votes for Trump and the Republicans. This site will explain a lot of what’s going on in the media and the world and why. I am currently a full time student who studies business at the University of Tampa and I am the previous owner of two businesses. My interests outside of politics include mostly sports and in particular golf and football. I am from New Hampshire and lived there my whole life up until two years ago when I started school in Tampa. The title for this blog is PolitiTruth because I want to represent the truth about politics to my readers, and I intend on giving them an alternate source that doesn’t have the same agenda of most news networks. I intend to only share stories and articles that are factual, and not write fake news articles like much of what we see on CNN or MSNBC. It’s seeing misleading articles from news sources like CNN and MSNBC on a regular basis that has led me to want to create this blog. I feel like I am not alone when I say that I am fed up with the left wing media, and it’s a big part of why Trump won. I am here to explain parts of Trump’s presidency and also why everything the media is doing is only going to help Trump, because much of the public does not understand this. Unfortunately, much of the public does still not understand why Trump won the election, and these blog will be a source for that information.
